Stative Verbs


Some verbs are not usually used in their continuous form for example in present continuous, past continuous, etc. These are called Stative verbs.
The most common Stative Verbs are:

e.g. I feel that we get too much homework

touch; experience an emotion, sensation, etc

e.g. I'm felling a bit ill at the moment.

think

have an opinion, believe

e.g. What do you think about our new teacher?

consider; use your brain

e.g. What are you thinking about at the moment?
